MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE ESAO

Dear Members, colleagues and friends,

As President of the ESAO, it is my pleasure, in conjunction with the ESAO Educational Working Group led by Prof. Dieter Falkenhagen, to invite you to attend the 2nd ESAO Winter School in Gstaad, Switzerland between Thursday, February 1 and Saturday, February 3, 2007.

The title and the aim of this meeting is "Teaching the Teachers" with the idea of having specialists addressing topics less familiar to the community working with artificial organs. This year we will focus on anticoagulation, genomics and proteomics. In addition to the scientific communications, one of the main goals of this Winter School is to bring together experts from various fields, industry, and especially to give young scientists the chance to openly interact with those experts. All this will be held in a marvellous winter landscape and hopefully give us the opportunity to socialise on the ski slopes.

I am sure, with your participation, we will be able to organise a memorable Winter School.
